Radical Muslim men abduct diminutive Christian girls.

Muzaffargarh, Pakistan (ROD) July 14^th: The Session Judge ordered to produce Saba 13 and Anila 10, two Christian girls to produce in court to testify their abduction on complaint of their poor parents on July 11, 2008, but influential Muslim abductors denied producing them in the court of law because one Muslim member of Punjab Assembly is at their support.

Muslims treat Christians in Pakistan as slaves and not hesitate to kidnap and forcibly convert them to Islam. It is Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a country where Muslims claim to be owner and every one else to be a servant or “Zimmi”.

There are hundreds of such precedents of abduction by Muslims of Christian girls which go un-reported.

Muhammad Arif, Amjad Ali and Muhammad Ashraf abducted Saba 13 and Anila 10 resident of Chak No. 552/TDA Chak Sarwar Shaheed district Muzaffargarh on June 26^th, 2008. The minor girls were abducted when they were on their way to their uncle's residence. They allegedly claimed that the girls had converted to Islam and married the alleged abductors.

For past fifteen days the girl's parents and the local Christian community have been running between the local police and the courts, but to no avail. The police refused to take any action or register a case. In the meantime the culprits threatened the family of dire consequences against making complaints and Mr. Ehsan-ul-Haq; the local Muslim legislator is protecting the culprits.

The District Sessions Court in Muzaffargarh ordered production of the abducted girls for their testimony on July 11^th. However they were not produced. The court has issued the orders once again for the production of minor abductors for July 12^th.

Chairman 'ROD', Mr. Ferhan Mazher condemned the abduction of minor Christian girls and said that police authorities and government officials should take notice of the lamentable episode and rescue the girls from the hard line Islamic elements. He further expressed his apprehensions by saying that we have great reservations that fanatic Muslims might kill minor Christian girls.

Mob attacks Church in Karachi, Pakistan.

Karachi, Pakistan (RFFT) July 14^th: An angry mob of fanatic Muslims attacked the worshipers in a United Presbyterian Church at Noorknan, situated just off the Karachi-Hyderabad Super Highway during the broad daylight. Eye witnesses said that mob of fanatic Muslims attacked the believers during a prayer service brandishing swords, daggers and batons on July 10^th, RFFT has learnt through well placed local sources.

It is pertinent to mention here that the same Church was attacked and destroyed in the year 2001, but provincial government of Sindh accorded permission to built new Church building on same location.

This Church in outskirts of Karachi city is administered by United Presbyterians and known as UP Church, which serves the Christians of Noorknan and its surrounding localities.

Pastor Iqbal Anthony, who leads congregation managed to erect the present structure of Church with the support of local congregation. The Muslim residents ransacked this Church in the year 2001, backed by political support of Muslim leaders and were saved from any legal action

A group named Compassion Asia adds, “15-18 Muslim of Gul Hassan Berohi group equipped with batons, daggers and swords entered in to the Church and attacked and desecrated the Church and Holy Bible and other Holy Books which were placed in the altar, later mob of conservative Muslims attacked Pastor Iqbal Anthony with daggers and swords, leaving Pastor Anthony critically injured. He was rushed to hospital.

The angry attackers were shouting “infidels! Stop false rituals” “infidels can not stay here” “This is the country of Muslims, so, recant Christianity and become Muslims or be ready to die”

Other injured Christians included Sanjed Masih and Haroon Masih. Mob of fanatic Muslims thrashed Christian women and girls very badly and left them seriously injured, they were also taken to the hospital.

The Christians have appealed to the provincial government of Sindh to take action against Muslim assaulters and demanded to beef up the security of the Church and Christian residential areas.

Sargodha, Pakistan (RFFT) June 10th: A Christian herd boy, Nasir Masih 15 died from rabies because a feudal lord identified as Nawaz Wirk, evaded from providing proper medical treatment to him at Chak (Village) # 48 NB, located 6 Kilo Meters south-east of Sargodha city in predominantly Muslim country Pakistan’s Punjab province. The grief-stricken family said that the landlord kept their severely sick son at his farm house to work and concealed the facts from them for 41 days. Sorrowful family held landlord responsible for the death of their teen aged son, RFFT learnt through the bereaved Christian family.


The bereaved impoverish family told RFFT at the funeral of deceased Nasir Masih that about one and a half month ago a stray dog entered landlord’s farmhouse and bit Nasir Masih. The stray dog was infected with acute virus of Rabies.

Replying to a question the father of deceased Nasir Masih said that his son was totally unaware that the stray dog was infected of rabies. The father added that stray dog bit his son and ran away after transferring rabies’ virus into his son. The sorrowful father also said that symptoms of lyssa appeared in his son a few days after the stray dog bit him, but the landlord terrorized Nasir Masih by threatening him to torment his family and abstained from administering medical treatment of rabies to him. The father of the demised herd boy said though his son Nasir Masih was suffering from ailment and all the symptoms of lyssa were evident from his physical condition, cruel feudal lord neither granted him leave nor administered medication for the rabid Masih.

Talking to RFFT feeble mother of deceased Nasir Masih said that on 38th day after the stray dog’s bite, when Nasir Masih suddenly fell faint from the pain and extreme shivering, and his condition got lethally dangerous, the sinister landlord called Nasir Masih’s father and asked him to take his son home and threatened him of dire consequences, incase he tried to report police. She added that stone-hearted feudal lord also threatened us to implicate us into country’s controversial blasphemy laws.

Replying to a question about the treatment of Nasir Masih, demised Masih’s mother said that they took him to several quacks and wizards for remedy, but all their efforts were futile, none of them could diagnose or redeem their son from the mysterious ailment. She said that their son was so much terrified that he averted revealing the truth even to us, his parents.

Other family members of deceased Nasir Masih apprised RFFT when all the quacks and wizards failed to cure Nasir Masih; we decided to take him to the provincial capital Lahore for the indispensable medical treatment.

Family members said that on the doctor’s inquest about the genesis of the disease. Demised Nasir Masih turned down doctor’s opinion of stray dog’s bite, due to the threats and terror of the feudal lord. They added that doctor immediately admitted Nasir Masih to the ‘Intense Care Unit’ (ICU) and started treatment. The bereaved relatives sorrowfully stated that when doctor and other friends impelled tenderly to Masih to reveal the actual cause of the genesis of the disease, he at last admitted that a rabid stray dog had bitten him. He also asserted that the feudal lord had warned him of dire consequences, if he would tell the truth to any body including his parents.

After the revelation of the cause of the disease, and obtaining results of various medical test reports, Doctors finally came to the conclusion that the poor herd boy was suffering from Rabies.

After this conclusion, relatives of deceased Masih said doctor administered him an injection. Somber relatives added that till than the rabies virus had reached and damaged the brain of tender aged Nasir Masih. Dispirited family apprised RFFT that shortly after the administration of injection, Nasir Masih passed away silently.

Ferhan Mazher, Chief of a non-governmental rights and advocacy organization ‘Rays of Development Organization’ (ROD), Tahir Naveed Chaudhary member of provincial assembly of Punjab and Farrukh Tanvir Chaudhary Christian youth leader sternly condemned the regrettable episode of the murder of a Christian herd boy due to the carelessness of the feudal lord Nawaz Wirk and condoled with the bereaved family.

Tahir Naveed also said that this is a great loss for the community which can not be replenished. He asserted that we would stand with the victim family and ensure that the justice is served to them.

Ferhan Mazher told RFFT that ROD is toiling to build a society free of interfaith violence and discrimination. He added that ROD envisions a society with democracy, education, health and freedom for all irrespective of their faith, color, caste or parlance.

Farrukh Tanvir Chaudhary, Christian youth leader said that we are doing untiring efforts to obliterate the discriminatory laws including the controversial black Blasphemy Laws of the country. He called for the registration of a case against the cruel feudal lord and bring him to the book. He urged that police can play a decisive role in abolition of the hostile attitude against the religious minorities of Pakistan and put an end to the extremism and intolerance of fanatic Muslim men and women.

Shiekhupura, Pakistan, March 28^th (ROD): On February 25^th 2008 two men recognized as Qurbaan Ali Mangi and Abid Ali, hired 10 unknown men and ransacked and set ablaze the house of a poor Christian sanitary worker Boota Masih to revenge the divulging of their connivance and corrupt activities.

ROD Fact Finding Team (RFFT) has learnt that Boota Masih 35 has been working at GEPCO Poll Plant, Gujranwala as a sanitary worker for last two (02) years. While he was working there, he discovered that Mr Qurbaan Ali Mangi and Abid Ali were involved in malicious, illegal and corrupt activities. And due to their black deeds company had to undergo heavy economical lose. Boota Masih submitted an application to his senior officers regarding the corruption of both the men.

After a departmental enquiry both the men Abid Ali and Qurbaan Ali Mangi were found guilty and dismissed from their positions in the Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) by a local court.

Since then the hate and fury to revenge had been simmering up in their hearts secretly. In revenge, about 10 armed men led by Mangi and Ali attacked the Christian family and injured Masih, his wife Sema, his son Adeel and his nephew Akram. The attackers ransacked the entire house and set it on fire. They then warned Masih of worse if he attempted to contact the police. As though destroying Masih's house and belongings was not enough, the gang of armed men forced the family to leave the area, RFFT established.

Boota Masih told RFFT from an undisclosed location through an intermediator, that he tried to register a case against the assailants, but police were initially reluctant of registering a case against the Gujranwala Electric Power Company’s officials. He added that police did register a case against the culprits after the intercession of a local court.

According to other sources (A local Daily) Masih’s wife Sema had been warned via telephone from an anonymous caller that her husband would be murdered. At present poor Christian family is living in hiding at an undisclosed location. Therefore RFFT is not able to obtain further updates regarding this sad and hostile face-off.

MandiBhaudin, Pakistan, March 25^th (ROD): Armed men made their entry forcibly, brandishing deadly fire arms and occupied the church compound of Catholic Church Chak # (Village) 2 Shumali (North Branch), here at MandiBhaudin, Pakistan on February 29^th, 2008. They built boundary walls of the premises of church compound before the dusk of March 1^st to further strengthen their occupation, said Arshad Gill.

A Christian resident and social worker of MandiBhaudin Mr Arshad Gill apprised ROD Fact Finding Team (RFFT) that on the night of Feb 29^th fifteen men armed with deadly weapons, two of which are recognized as Ghulam Abbas, Muhammad Iqbal forced their way into the church compound of the local Catholic Church. “They desecrated and occupied the Church’s 1.5 Kanal compound”, Gill added.

Arshad Gill also said that assailants threatened and kept aerial gunfire with deadly fire arms like AK-47, making loud bangs, to terrorize the local Christians through out the night between Feb 29 and March 1^st. He went on saying that Christians of Chak # 2 NB were so much terrified that 5 (five) neighboring Christian families left their homes to save their lives. And they are still living in hiding away from their homes.

Gill said that on March 4^th local Christians led by the local clergy man registered a case against the assailants at Civil Lines Police Station. ‘But police are reluctant of taking any action against the culprits despite the fact that a case had been lodged against them, and police have not arrested any one, to date’, added Gill.

Concerned Gill said that this piece of land was owned and in use by the church since 1937. ROD tried to contact Investigating Officer, Sub Inspector (SI) Muhammad Zafar for details, but either he was not in the Police Station or he deliberately evaded talking to the RFFT. Enraged Gill said that Police are blatantly leaning and aiding their towards the culprits and disdaining deprived local Christians.

Christian teen allegedly sold for illegal human organ transplant: Sadeeq Masih (Father of Nadeem)

Marr Balochaan, Pakistan, Jan 27^th (ROD): A Christian youth Francis Nadeem 15, son of Sadeeq Masih is believed to be kidnapped and allegedly sold for illegal human organ extraction and transplantation, here at Marr Balochaan, a village near Nankanna District of Punjab Province in Pakistan. Where as kidnappers Muhammad Imran and Muhammad Zaman sons of Noor Muhammad, admitted during interrogation at Sanglla Hill Police Station that they killed and threw the corpse in the water canal. While the canals are dry and there is no water in them due to the dry spell since Dec 1^st 2007.

ROD Fact Finding Team visited the family and condoled with them. Sadeeq Masih father of the Francis Nadeem told ROD Fact Finding Team that on the eve of Dec 20^th, 2007 Muhammad Imran and Muhammad Zaman residents of nearby village Mahesh Shumali came to their house and took Francis Nadeem with them. Father of the Nadeem said that three boys rented a motor bike from ‘Rent a Motor Bike Shop’ and left for unknown destination and never returned. Nadeem’s father mentioned that Francis Nadeem can’t ride a motor bike.

Sadeeq Masih said that when their son did not return home they started looking for him here and there but all their efforts remained fruitless. Sobbing inconsolably Nadeem’s father went on saying that he went to Muhammad Imran and Muhammad Zaman house as well, but in vain.

“Finally, after all the fruitless searches” Sadeeq Masih added “We registered a case against Muhammad Imran and Muhammad Zaman on Dec 27^th, 2007 at Sanglla Hill Police Station with First Information Report (FIR) No. 346/2007 under section 365 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC)”.

On Jan 14^th, 2008 Sanglla Hill Police arrested Muhammad Imran and Muhammad Zaman along with their maternal uncle Muhammad Zulfiqar for kidnapping and keeping Francis Nadeem in hiding. In the Police custody ruffians confessed that they killed and threw away the dead body of Francis Nadeem in a water canal. Father of Francis Nadeem, who is a very old man and appallingly poor said that it impossible because water canals all over Pakistan are dry now days.

Sadeeq Masih went on saying that police is leaning towards the culprits because they are rich and very influential. He also blamed that kidnappers have heavily bribed the police therefore is blatantly foiling the facts. Till now the police have totally failed in recovering the corpse of the Nadeem and there are no developments in this regard.

Sadeeq Masih alleged that the culprits have not killed his teenage son, as they are admitting in the police interrogation; instead they have sold him to illegal human organ traffickers. Sadeeq Masih also disclosed that many people had been disappeared mysteriously in this locality and his son is not the first one to be disappeared mysteriously. He added that this is a gang involved in illegal human organs smuggling.

ROD Fact Finding Team contacted Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Ijaz Gujjar of Sanglla Hill Police Station, Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Rai Akraam and Investigating Office Sub-Inspector (SI) Rai Hassan Nawaz for details, but they were not available for commentary.

Christian mini truck driver being forced to convert to Islam

Gulzar Masih, a Christian mini truck driver is allegedly being forced to recite Islamic Holy Kalima (Holy verses used to mark the conversion to Islam) and convert to Islam, by two Muslim men, Khawar Butt and Baatti. The sole wage earner of the family is living under the threat of being executed or tormented viciously by the Muslim men and scared to return to his home.

Gulzar Masih, a 45 years old Christian mini truck driver of Chak (village) # 2, Mandi Bhawaldin, Pakistan, was visited by Rays of Development Organization (ROD) fact finding team. Gulzar Masih told ROD fact finding team that he had been a professional truck driver for last 20 years at Mandi Bhawaldin. He said that he has his own mini truck. (Toyota Hilux # C .5990 Peshawar). Gulzar Masih said that he had been living and working with other drivers in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere, until they came to know that I am a Christian.

Masih said the difficulty started off about 6 months ago, when proprietor of the Ashraf Hotel allegedly asked him not to dine at his hotel, simply because he is a Christian, an untouchable.

Gulzar Masih told ROD that on August 15^th 2007, two Muslim men, Khawar Butt and Baatti allegedly forced him to utter the Holy Kalima and embrace Islam. While he, along with three other drivers, was relaxing and chatting under the cool shade of trees near the truck stand, Mandi Bhawaldin.

Terrified Gulzar Masih alleged that after two days of this incident, he was sitting at the shop of local iron smith Muhammad Iqbal, when Khawar Butt, Baatti and younger brother of the iron smith Muhammad Khalid, abused and forced him out of the shop, hurling death threats on him, as he had turned down the imposition of conversion. Masih also said “All these men were my good friends, until they learnt that I am a Christian”.

Appallingly poor Gulzar Masih father of Aamir Gulzar 20 and Suneeta student of class 9^th said that he is the lone bread winner of his family. Concerned Gulzar Masih went on saying that this incident has almost spoiled his freight business.

The police at Mandibhawaldin refrained from registering a case against the culprits. However after a long and steadfast struggle and with the help of Bishop Jamshaid John, High Court of Lahore has ordered the Station House Officer of the police station to register case against both the Muslim men on Oct 29^th, 2007.

Masih told ROD that he desires to live in perfect serenity and accord with other Muslims in the society. He appealed to ROD chairman to liberate him out of this dilemma.

ROD chairman Mr Ferhan Mazher was astounded to know the pitiable episode. ROD chairman denounced such threats to the religious minorities of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He also said that the law enforcement agencies and government should take notice of such horrible incidents and Islamic religious radicals.

Chief of ROD pressed upon the necessity of tolerance, peace and harmony. He added that followers of all faiths are ought to learn to co-exist peacefully in Pakistan.
